It has been a while since my last post. Being heavily involved in the processing of the Dutch PACC contest logs, there was hardly any time for some real “hamming”. VP6DX, 9X0R and 5T5DC are in the log on numerous bands, but that’s basically it. Also tried the CQ WPX SSB contest, but I gave up after 25 QSOs: conditions were lousy and SSB is simply not my cup of coffee.
Meanwhile the PACC log processing will soon be concluded. The submission period is closed and we have 1151 logs received – almost as much as last year (~1160). Remarkably, 93% of those logs are in electronic form and entered in Cabrillo format. This is a very positive result and it shows that the PACC definitively changed to the new way of working of electronic log submission.
We are currently doing some final reviewing of the logs and then the final score will be generated and published in the Dutch amateur radio magazine “Electron” (July issue).
As always, all participants will receive our famous “token of merit” (“vaantje”).
